Investigation against Moscow airport owner extended until July 28
MOSCOW, Apr 14 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Investigative Committee has extended investigation against management of Moscow-based Domodedovo International Airport, including airports’ owner Dmitry Kamenshchik until July 28, an investigator said at the Basmanny District Court on Thursday.
Kamenshchik is charged with poor passenger inspection which preconditioned a terrorist attack in the airport in 2011.
“The investigation was extended until July 28, or up to 15 months,” the person said.
On Wednesday, the Prosecutor General’s Office contested arrest of Kamenshchik and three other defendants in the case.
Kamenshchik and Svetlana Trishina, ex-CEO of the Airport Management Company’s Russian representative office were put under house arrest in February in the framework of a new criminal case to punish people who could have caused the explosion in Domodedovo. The airport’s ex-CEO Vyacheslav Nekrasov and Domodedovo Airport Aviation Security former Managing Director Andrei Danilov were put in jail.
